Kitchener is gearing up for the NBA Finals as Denver Nuggets player and Kitchener-native Jamal Murray gets ready to represent his hometown on the international basketball stage.
The City of Kitchener is hosting NBA watch parties to cheer on our hometown hero during the NBA Finals. Game One will be hosted at Bobby O'Brien's in downtown Kitchener on Thursday, June 1, featuring live entertainment from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by the main event at 8:30 p.m. If you prefer to be part of the fun without eating or drinking on the patio, bring a lawn chair and set up in the courtyard to take in the lively atmosphere.
"It's so exciting to witness the incredible journey of our very own Jamal Murray as he represents Kitchener in the NBA Finals. His remarkable talent, hard work and unwavering spirit are an inspiration to all of us in Kitchener, especially our youth,” said Mayor Berry Vrbanovic. “Let’s come together as a community to cheer on and support Jamal every step of the way. Go Nuggets Nation North! Let’s Go Jamal!"
The City of Kitchener invites everyone to join and share the excitement and support Jamal Murray as he represents K-Town on this international platform. The NBA Finals watch party schedule is as follows:
