At The Aud and community arenas, there are both free and paid skating options.

Free skating

Outdoor skating

There are many volunteer-run outdoor skating rinks in Kitchener that open each winter. Visit our outdoor skating rinks page to find your local rink!

City Hall skating rink

The rink at Carl Zehr Square is closed today, March 25. Please follow posted signs.

The skating rink at Kitchener City Hall is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather dependent.

Changerooms are available in Carl Zehr Square from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.


Borrow skates

Kitchener Public Library (KPL) has hockey skates that you can borrow from Central Library (85 Queen Street North). You can borrow skates for one day and keep them overnight. Learn more on KPL's website.
