COVID-19 updates
Community centres to begin reopening on Monday, Feb. 22
Effective Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 12:01 a.m., Kitchener and all of Waterloo Region will move to the Red-Control level of the Province’s COVID-19 response framework.
Some community centres will continue to remain open for emergency social services such as food distribution, warming centres, addiction support and public access computers. Community centres will begin reopening for some programs and services on February 22.
Visitors must continue to register through ActiveNet for all programs. All visitors and staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

Parking and transit
Free parking is available off Rittenhouse Road.
Grand River Transit (GRT) route 22 stops on Rittenhouse Road in front of Country Hills Community Centre. Plan your route with GRT’s trip planner.
GRT no longer offers paper bus tickets. Fare payment information is available on their website.

Most drop-in programs are free. Some cost $2 per session.
Leisure access
Visit our leisure access page to apply for lower registration fees. Our goal is to make city-run programs accessible to everyone.

Gym
Country Hills Community Centre does not have open gym time or workout equipment. Join one of our drop-in programs to play basketball, pickleball and more.
Arena
Country Hills Community Centre is beside Lions Arena. You can rent Lions Arena for corporate meetings, birthday parties and more.
Park
Country Hills Community Centre is connected to Lions Park, offering these outdoor amenities:

Washrooms
These washrooms are available at Country Hills Community Centre:

- men’s and women’s washrooms and locker rooms in the gym
All our washrooms are accessible.
There is a change table in the washroom near room two.
Wi-Fi
Use your own phone, tablet or computer with our free Wi-Fi. Choose the “Kitchener Public WiFi” network and follow the instructions that show up.
