The Getting Around map is available during a snow event and 24 hours after the declaration has ended. Check back throughout a snow event to see our progress around the city.

How to use the Getting Around map

Here are some tips for using the Getting Around map:

Finding a location

There are two ways to find a location on the map:

  1. click and drag: similar to Google Maps or other mapping tools, you can click, drag and zoom in or out to see different locations
  2. specific address: type an address into the address search bar, choose the correct option from the search results, then the map will focus on that location

Reading the map

On the map, the colours on the roads will tell you the time range for when the road was last serviced:

  • green: last serviced within the last 4 hours
  • blue: last serviced between 4 and 12 hours ago
  • yellow: last serviced between 12 and 24 hours ago
  • red: last serviced more than 24 hours ago

Snow clearing data is shown with a delay to support operational requirements.

The Getting Around map will be available during the snow event and 24 hours after the declaration has ended. This map will not be available when a snow event is not in effect.
