Everyone deserves the same opportunities - period. This fact is reinforced in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), which requires every municipality in the province to develop an accessibility plan that identifies the actions we must take to remove barriers for people with disabilities.
Our plan describes the progress we've made in making Kitchener more accessible, as well as our future focus areas, with recommended actions and measures, which we will be reviewing again later this year. For details on this process, please review our annual status update.
Accessible formats and communication supports of the Accessibility Plan are available upon request.
