Lessons
All our lessons are taught by PGA of Canada certified teaching professionals. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable and fun environment to allow students to learn and excel at the game. Lessons are available most days at a variety of times.
Private Lessons – 50 minutes
- 1 lesson - $100 3 lessons - $260 5 lessons - $400
Semi-Private Lessons (2 students) - 50 minutes – price is total for 2 students
- 1 lesson - $130 3 lessons - $360 5 lessons - $525
Group Lessons (3-6 students) – 1 hour – price is total for all students

Playing Lesson (3-5 Holes) $200
An opportunity for your instructor to understand the strengths and weaknesses you display while playing the game. This valuable information is then used to formulate a strategy to help improve your ability to navigate the golf course successfully.
Adult programs
Our clinics are a fun place to learn and improve your game. These formats are also a great opportunity to meet new people. We offer a variety of adult programs for those looking for a tune up or a season of fun. No equipment or experience necessary.

Five-week clinics |
Date: Tuesdays or Wednesdays from May to August (five-week sessions) Time: 5 p.m., 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. Age: 18+ Location: Doon Valley Golf Course Cost: $145 + tax per person Topics covered include putting, chipping, setup, fundamentals, and the swing. Each package includes five lessons in consecutive weeks with each lesson running for 1 hour from the start time. Ladies Only Start Dates:

Junior programs
Your junior golfer can stay active this summer with any of our clubs, clinics or camps! A great way for beginners to learn the sport of golf from course etiquette to technique, and for junior golfers to develop their skills and improve their individual golf game while having lots of fun and making new friends!

Active Start Clinic (ages 4 to 7) |
Date: Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays from May to July (five-week sessions) Times:
Age: 4 to 7 years old Location: Doon Valley Golf Course Cost: $105 + tax Following the Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) pathway outlined by Golf Canada, the Kitchener Golf Academy is pleased to offer an introductory clinic to the game of golf for children aged 4-7. In a fun and creative learning environment, your child will learn to swing the golf club, chip, and putt, all while having the ability to make friends, and have a good time. This exceptional program is 5 consecutive weeks, with the last week being a fun tournament with parents/family involved. Each lesson runs for 50 minutes from the start time and is limited to 16 junior golfers. No equipment necessary. |
Learn to Play (ages 8 to 12) |
Date: Tuesdays, Fridays or Saturdays from May to July (5-week sessions) Times:
Age: 8 to 12 years old Location: Doon Valley Golf Course Cost: $105 + tax Following the Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) pathway outlined by Golf Canada, the Kitchener Golf Academy is pleased to offer learn to play clinics that will focus on developing all fundamental movement skills and sports skills. Key concepts that will be guided are grip, stance, alignment, swing, putting and chipping. Rules, etiquette and scoring will also be covered, and utilized on our 9-hole pitch and putt course. This exceptional program is 5 consecutive weeks, with the last week being a fun tournament with parents/family involved. Each lesson runs for 50 minutes from the start time and is limited to 16 junior golfers. No equipment necessary. |
Junior Golf League (ages 7 to 15) |
The goal of this program is for the student to learn different aspects of the game, including etiquette, in order to gain competence and confidence, leading towards playing in an unsupervised group.
Date: Saturdays from May 10 to Sept 20 (20-week program) Time: 2 p.m.
Age: 7 to 15 years old Recommended for ages 7+ or those with good golf skills and comprehension Location: Doon Valley Golf Course Cost: $350 + tax |
Bantam Golf Club (ages 4 to 8) |
Once your child has been introduced to the game through one of our junior clinics, or if they have been playing consistently for at least one year, the bantam golf league is the next step for them. Each lesson runs for 50 minutes from the start time. No equipment necessary.
Date: Saturdays from June 14 to August 16 (10-weeks program) Time: 9 a.m. Age: 4 to 8 years old Location: Doon Valley Golf Course Cost: $200 + tax |
Girls Club (ages 9 and up) |
The goal of this program is for the student to learn different aspects of the game, including etiquette, in order to gain competence and confidence, leading towards playing in an unsupervised group. No experience or equipment required. Weekly instruction and/or supervised practice/play.
Time: 5 to 7 p.m. (1 or 2 hours depending on the week)
Age: 9 and up
