COVID-19 updates

Facility rentals are limited while in step 2

Ontario is in a modified version of step 2 of the province’s roadmap to reopen. Read more.

City of Kitchener facility rentals are limited to wedding ceremonies, funerals, rites and religious ceremonies:

  • indoor: permitted at 50% capacity of the room
  • outdoor: capacity limited to the number of people that can maintain two metres of physical distance

Proof of vaccination

Individuals entering a City of Kitchener recreation facility or community centre must show proof of vaccination via a paper or electronic copy of their vaccine record as well as identification. Some exceptions apply. Learn more.

About Victoria Park Pavilion

Nestled among natural gardens, this 1920s pavilion overlooks Victoria Park in downtown Kitchener.

The large, well-lit room features a stage, large windows and capacity for 250 people. It is an ideal location for banquets, business events and live performances. Victoria Park Pavilion is a popular wedding reception venue.

Wedding package

If you’re planning your wedding, consider the Victoria Park Pavilion as your downtown reception venue. Send us an email to get started.


  • 2021: $3,500 plus HST and insurance
  • 2022: $4,500 plus HST and insurance (pending council approval)
  • 2023: $5,000 plus HST and insurance (pending council approval)


Insurance is an extra cost and depends on the number of guests:

  • up to 100 people: $135
  • 101 to 250 people: $243

Insurance rates are subject to change.


From 10 a.m. on the day of your event to 3 a.m. the next morning, you have access to:

  • a stage
  • main hall
  • basic sound system
  • kitchen
  • bar area
  • lobby
  • coat room

If you plan on using our tables and chairs, let us know four weeks in advance to make sure they are available. If they are available, we can have them setup before you arrive.

Rentals and vendors

With our venue, you have the freedom to work with any vendor that meets your needs. At the end of your event, you must remove any rental items you bring in, such as dishware, chairs or linens.


If you are serving alcohol at your wedding, you must hire a Smart Serve Certified bartender for every 125 guests. You will also need to apply for and obtain a Special Occasions Permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
