COVID-19 updates

Facility rentals are limited while in step 2

Ontario is in a modified version of step 2 of the province’s roadmap to reopen. Read more.

City of Kitchener facility rentals are limited to wedding ceremonies, funerals, rites and religious ceremonies:

  • indoor: permitted at 50% capacity of the room
  • outdoor: capacity limited to the number of people that can maintain two metres of physical distance

Proof of vaccination

Individuals entering a City of Kitchener recreation facility or community centre must show proof of vaccination via a paper or electronic copy of their vaccine record as well as identification. Some exceptions apply. Learn more.

Meeting rooms

If you need a meeting room in downtown Kitchener, look no further than City Hall.

We have meeting rooms for groups of 12 or more guests. Meeting rooms are usually available on weekends or from 5 to 9 p.m. on weekdays. For larger groups, our city council chamber can host up to 150 people in theatre-style seating.

Equipment, staffing and cleaning may increase your room fee.

Kitchener City Hall is open to the public:

  • Monday to Saturday: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sunday and holidays: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
