Each summer, we open splashpads across Kitchener. Our splashpads are in parks and at community centres.

Hours

All splashpads are now open for the season.

Most are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

The Centerville Chicoppee splashpad has special hours:

  • Wednesday: 9 a.m. to noon, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • All other days: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Locations

We have nine splashpads in Kitchener. All splashpads are now open for the season.

Please come prepared for the sun. Public washrooms are only available at Kingsdale (use the Wilson pool washroom) and Breithaupt Park at this time.

When Kiwanis park and pool opens for the season, the spray feature in the fenced pool area will be available. To use the Kiwanis spray feature, you will need to pay the admission fee.

Rules

Please follow these rules when you’re visiting one of our splashpads:

  • wear swim clothing
  • do not run or play rough
  • be respectful of other guests and take turns
  • put your garbage in the garbage bins
  • supervise children under age 9 at all times
  • do not drink the splashpad water

Do not bring these items into the splashpad area:

  • food
  • alcohol
  • glass containers
  • skateboards or rollerblades
  • wheeled recreational devices
  • bicycles

Do not smoke or vape in the splashpad area.

Do not use a splashpad if you have:

  • a communicable disease
  • open sores
  • skin infections
  • nausea, vomiting or diarrhea

Weather

If there is thunder or lightning, leave the splashpad area right away.

Splashpad water features do not turn off due to weather. If the weather is rainy or cold, the water features will be on during regular hours.
