Registration for fall 2024 city-run programs at our community centres is open now.

You can book 45 minutes of open gym time for up to 10 people (including yourself). This program is free.

Book a community room to host your next book club or neighbourhood project meeting! Multi-purpose rooms at city facilities can be reserved for free, for up to two hours and as far as 30 days in advance.

Leisure Access

Gym

Forest Heights Community Centre does not have open gym time or workout equipment. Join one of our programs to play basketball, pickleball and more.


Washrooms

There are three washrooms in the lobby of Forest Heights Community Centre:

  • one women’s washroom
  • one men’s washroom
  • one accessible gender-neutral washroom

There is a change table in the gender-neutral washroom.


Computers and Wi-Fi

Public access computers are available in the front lobby while the centre is open.

Use your own phone, tablet or computer with our free Wi-Fi. Choose the “Kitchener Public WiFi” network and follow the instructions that show up.

Rentals

You can rent rooms at Forest Heights Community Centre for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

  • room one – seating capacity 20 people - $21.58 per hour, including HST
  • room two – seating capacity 60 people - $42.73 per hour, including HST
  • room three – seating capacity 20 people - $30.77 per hour, including HST
  • room four – seating capacity 40 people - $42.73 per hour, including HST
  • multipurpose room / gym (single) – seating capacity 200 people - $66.93 per hour, including HST
  • kitchen (cooking) – capacity 5 people - $32.75 per hour, including HST

Note that when booked after business hours a three hour minimum rental is required and additional staff charges will apply.

Depending on the nature of your event other rental costs can include:

  • Resound and SOCAN fees
  • insurance
  • licensing

Pool

Forest Heights Pool is an indoor pool with swimming programs and lessons. Check our public swimming schedule to find a time to come in for a swim.

Forest Heights Pool is not in the same building as the community centre.

You will need to cross Queen’s Boulevard to access the pool. Parking is available off Fischer-Hallman Road.

Fischer Park has:

Forest Heights Community Library is a branch of the Kitchener Public Library. It is in the same building as Forest Heights Pool.
