COVID-19 updates
Community centres to begin reopening on Monday, Feb. 22
Effective Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 12:01 a.m., Kitchener and all of Waterloo Region will move to the Red-Control level of the Province’s COVID-19 response framework.
Some community centres will continue to remain open for emergency social services such as food distribution, warming centres, addiction support and public access computers. Community centres will begin reopening for some programs and services on February 22.
Visitors must continue to register through ActiveNet for all programs. All visitors and staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

Monday and Tuesday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. to noon
Thursday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. to noon
Saturday and Sunday: closed

Most drop-in programs are free. Some cost $2 per session.
Leisure access
Visit our leisure access page to apply for lower registration fees. Our goal is to make city-run programs accessible to everyone.

Gym
Forest Heights Community Centre does not have open gym time or workout equipment. Join one of our programs to play basketball, pickleball and more.
Washrooms
There are three washrooms in the lobby of Forest Heights Community Centre:
- one women’s washroom
- one men’s washroom
- one accessible gender-neutral washroom
There is a change table in the gender-neutral washroom.
Wi-Fi
Use your own phone, tablet or computer with our free Wi-Fi. Choose the “Kitchener Public WiFi” network and follow the instructions that show up.
Rentals
You can rent rooms at Forest Heights Community Centre for meetings or events. Call 519-741-2621 for more information.
In the neighbourhood
Pool
Forest Heights Pool is an indoor pool with swimming programs and lessons. Check our public swimming schedule to find a time to come in for a swim.
Forest Heights Pool is not in the same building as the community centre.
You will need to cross Queen’s Boulevard to access the pool. Parking is available off Fischer-Hallman Road.

Park
Fischer Park has:

Library
Forest Heights Community Library is a branch of the Kitchener Public Library. It is in the same building as Forest Heights Pool.
