With summer just around the corner, parents and guardians will be looking for ways to keep their children engaged. The City of Kitchener is offering a variety of fun, affordable camp options for children of all ages and interests. Camp registration opens on Tuesday, March 21 at 8:30 a.m. Register early as camps fill up quickly.

Summer camp offers opportunities for children to develop friendships, explore and gain new experiences, build confidence, and stay active through quality programming. The city offers day camp for ages 4 to 13 at community centres and pools across the city that feature weekly themes, special guests, indoor and outdoor play, active games, arts and crafts and more. Some camps also offer extended care before and after camp each day. The diverse selection of affordable city camp offerings includes:

    • Eco-Discovery Camp
    • Sports Camp
    • Creative Kids Arts Camp
    • School’s Out Camp
    • STEM Camp
    • Skateboarding Camp
  • Specialized camps for youth with a disability
    • YouthSense (ages 9-15)
    • It’s All About YOUth Camp (ages 13-17)
  • Swimming camps    
    • Kids Crafts & Games Summer Camp
    • Active Kids Camp
    • Kiwanis Park Classic Camp
