Celebrate local community gardens

From May through September, neighbours recognize neighbours, through our Kitchener in Bloom program, for creating vibrant outdoor spaces and helping to grow community pride in Kitchener. As part of this, come on out to your local Community gardens to celebrate these wonderful spaces and to learn more about how to get involved!

Types of gardens

We celebrate all types of gardening, including balcony gardens, community gardens, vegetable gardens, container gardens, fairy gardens, flower gardens, pollinator patches, rain gardens, raised gardens or rock gardens.

How to Recognize a Garden

This year the Kitchener In Bloom program is changing how our recognition process operates. From May until September, you will be able to pick up a recognition package from any of your local community centres. From there, drop it off at a to someone who you think deserves appreciation for their hard work in the garden this year, it's that simple!
