Kingsdale Community Centre is home to an outdoor pool, playground, splashpad and more. You can register for fitness and sports programs (including yoga), social groups and other activities for the whole family.

Free parking is available off Wilson Avenue.

Grand River Transit (GRT) route 28 stops on Wilson Avenue and 4th Avenue near Kingsdale Community Centre.

Book a gym

You can book 45 minutes of open gym time for up to 10 people (including yourself). This program is free.

Book a community room

Book a community room to host your next book club or neighbourhood project meeting! Multi-purpose rooms at city facilities can be reserved for free, for up to two hours and as far as 30 days in advance.

Leisure Access

Visit our Leisure Access (fee assistance) page to apply for lower program registration fees. This does not include programs run by our partners. Check with community centre staff for fee assistance options.


Pool

Wilson swimming pool is an outdoor pool with swimming programs and youth drop-in swims during the summer. The pool is currently closed for the season.

Our soccer field and baseball diamonds are available for rent.


Washrooms

These washrooms are available at Kingsdale Community Centre:

  • one gender-neutral washroom in the lobby
  • men’s and women’s washrooms by the gyms

All our washrooms are accessible.

There is a change table in the gender-neutral washroom.


Computers and Wi-Fi

Public access computers are available in the lobby. You can also use the printer or scanner if you need to (with printing limits).

Use your own phone, tablet or computer with our free Wi-Fi. Choose the “Kitchener Public WiFi” network and follow the instructions that show up.

Rentals

You can rent rooms at Kingsdale Community Centre for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

  • room one – seating capacity 25 people - $44.43 per hour, including HST
  • room two – seating capacity 30 people - $32.00 per hour, including HST
  • room three – seating capacity 30 people - $32.00 per hour, including HST
  • room four – seating capacity 30 people - $32.00 per hour, including HST
  • room five – seating capacity 25 people - $32.00 per hour, including HST
  • gym (single) – seating capacity 235 people - $69.61 per hour, including HST
  • kitchen (cooking) – capacity 5 people - $34.06 per hour, including HST
  • kitchen (reheating/no cooking) - $40.86 flat fee, including HST

Note that when booked after business hours a three-hour minimum rental is required and additional staff charges will apply.

Depending on the nature of your event other rental costs can include:

  • music licensing fees
  • insurance
  • licensing
  • staffing
