MyKitchener: How to create an account and log in or out
Create a MyKitchener account to access our self-serve portal and personalize your online experience with the city. Learn how to create a MyKitchener account and log in or out of your account.

Create a MyKitchener account
Using email and password:
- Click the ‘Create one now’ button at the bottom of the login screen
- Enter your email and click ‘Email verification code’
- Enter the verification code (required)
- Enter and confirm a password, first name and last name
- Review and agree to the Terms and Conditions
- Click ‘Create’
Or
- Use an existing social media account (X, Google, Facebook):
- Click on the social media account you’d like to use.
Note: the social media platform may ask you to verify your social media account.
Step 3: Add your address to your account
You do not need to add an address to create or use a MyKitchener account.
If you choose to add your address, MyKitchener will automatically display information related to your address including:
- things to do
- events
- waste/leaf collection schedules
- road closures
- snow removal
To enter your address:
- Enter house number, then start typing your street name and wait for the dropdown to populate/appear. Select your street name from the dropdown. (if applicable)
- Click ‘Next’
If you do not want to add your address, click ‘Maybe later’.
Login to MyKitchener
Using email and password:
- Enter the email and password you used to create your account on the login screen
- Click ‘Login’
Or
If you created your account using an existing social media account (Twitter, Google, Facebook):
- Click on the social media account you used to create your account
Log out of MyKitchener
- Click on your profile icon (top right corner)
- Click on "sign out"
