Headquarters office hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Closed on all statutory holidays.

Public education

Our public education team is committed to helping our community better understand fire safety.

We offer training on topics that include:

  • cooking precautions
  • smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
  • general safety tips

  • we respond to more than 15,000 calls a year
  • Kitchener Fire has an annual operating budget of $36.3 million
  • our team includes firefighters, fire prevention staff, public educators, administrators, dispatchers and communications personnel and support staff
  • we work out of seven fire stations spread out around Kitchener
  • we also provide dispatch services of over 13,000 calls per year to the Townships of Woolwich, Wilmot, Wellesley, North Dumfries, and the cities of Waterloo and Cambridge
