About the library
Kitchener Public Library (KPL) has more than 638,000 items in its collections including books, DVDs, CDs, magazines, newspapers and more. KPL also carries books, CDs, DVDs and magazines in different languages.
KPL’s virtual service gives you access to information including databases, encyclopedias, newspaper and magazines, audio books, e-books, music and videos.
Locations
There are six five KPL locations:
- Central Library: 85 Queen Street North
- Country Hills Library: 1500 Block Line Road, beside St. Mary’s Secondary School
- Forest Heights Library: 251 Fischer-Hallman Road, beside Forest Heights Collegiate
- Grand River Stanley Park Library: 175 Indian Road, beside Grand River Collegiate
- Pioneer Park Library: 150 Pioneer Drive, beside Pioneer Park Community Centre
- Southwest Library: 100 Rosenberg Way

Get a library card
There are two types of free library cards:
- library card for residents of Kitchener
- reciprocal library card for residents of the Region of Waterloo

Wi-Fi and public computers
You can access free Wi-Fi at all KPL locations. There are also public computer stations, most with free internet access.
