Cowan Recreation Centre Grand Opening

Nine days. Countless ways to connect, compete, and belong.

Join us November 14 to 22 as we celebrate the grand opening of Cowan Recreation Centre at RBJ Schlegel Park. What began as a one-day event has grown into a nine-day community celebration filled with opportunities to explore Kitchener's newest recreation destination, try programs, experience the facility, connect with community partners and discover all that Cowan Recreation Centre has to offer.

Whether you're interested in aquatics, fitness, recreation, sport or family-friendly activities, there will be something for everyone throughout the celebration.

  • A full day of family activities and free play from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 15

Help More Residents Participate

Many of the grand opening programs are complimentary and space is limited. To help as many residents as possible take part in the celebrations, we encourage participants to register for no more than two complimentary programs.

Thank you for helping us share these opportunities across the community and create an enjoyable experience for everyone.
