Summer program registration opens for Kitchener residents on June 10 at 8:30 a.m.
The countdown to summer is on and the City of Kitchener is ready with programs to help keep you active all summer long. Summer program registration, including recreation, sports and swim programs, opens on Tuesday, June 10 at 8:30 a.m. for Kitchener residents, and June 17 for non-residents.
Active Kitchener is your complete guide to all summer activities and swim programs the City of Kitchener offers. It will be delivered to homes this week, and a downloadable version is now available online at www.kitchener.ca/ActiveKitchener. Print copies will also be available at community centres, pools, or city hall.
Build your confidence at the pool this summer with swimming lessons at indoor and outdoor pools with options for all ages and skill levels. It’s never too early, or too late, to get started. Know your child’s most recent swim level before you register for swimming lessons. Residents are encouraged to contact their local pool with any questions before registration day. See all program swim levels at www.kitchener.ca/KitchenerSwims.
3 ways to register
Register online, in person (at a community centre, pool, or city hall), or by calling your neighbourhood community centre or pool. If you’re registering online, you can set up your ActiveNet account before registration day. Add your favourite programs to your Wish List, and then simply add to your cart quickly and easily on registration day. Learn more at www.kitchener.ca/ProgramRegistration.
Need financial support?
If program fees are preventing you, or a member of your family, from joining a city or neighbourhood association program, you could qualify for a yearly subsidy of $400 per person in Leisure Access Fee assistance. Apply before registration day at www.kitchener.ca/FeeAssistance.
Need support for a person with a disability?
For individuals with disabilities that may require extra support, the Inclusion Support and Personal Assistance for Leisure (PAL) Activities program makes joining our programs possible and more enjoyable. For more information, or to apply in advance of a program, visit www.kitchener.ca/inclusion.
