City of Kitchener cancels snow event and parking ban as of 11 p.m. February 25, 2026

The City of Kitchener is cancelling the current snow event effective 11 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. The street parking ban will be lifted once the snow event is cancelled.

Even once the snow event is cancelled, City snow clearing crews will continue working to keep streets clear across the community, with plows continuing to maintain priority streets and snow loading activities taking place overnight. The City’s regular winter overnight street parking bylaw remains in place, which prohibits parking on city streets between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. from December 1 to March 31. Anyone parking on the street overnight during this time must have an overnight parking exemption.
