City extends snow event until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025

Kitchener, Ontario - A snow event was declared on Thursday, November 27 based on credible weather forecast information. The most recent forecast predicts an additional 10-12 cm of snow falling in Kitchener between midnight on Saturday, November 29 and the afternoon of Sunday, November 30. Based on this information, the snow event has now been extended until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 30. This helps ensure our plows and snow clearing equipment are able to effectively and efficiently clear snow from roadways across the city.

During a snow event, the City's tag-and-tow process takes effect. Residents are prohibited from parking their cars on city streets at any time when a snow event has been declared by the City. The ticket for parking on the street during a snow event is $100. Vehicles can also be towed if a snow operator is unable to get down a city street and contacts enforcement staff on patrol.
