The community services department works with residents and partners to support safe and thriving neighbourhoods. They deliver publicly accessible programs and services and build vibrant gathering spaces.

The corporate service department brings together internal business partners that support the delivery of valued public services and programs. They have a focus on service, innovation, culture and communication.

The development services department drives effective city building with a commitment to strong internal collaboration and an excellent customer service experience.

The financial services department develops and delivers strategy, policy and programs supporting the city’s finances. They focus on financial integrity to oversee public funds and ensure a comprehensive approach to asset management planning.

Infrastructure Services leads the quality and efficient delivery of Kitchener services such as buildings, roads, trails, parks, water mains, sewers, natural gas distribution systems and vehicles.
Divisions: roads, parks and trail maintenance, parks and trails design and development, gas and water utilities, fleet maintenance, sanitary and stormwater engineering and operations, custodial services and facility maintenance, security, energy management
