Snow Events

The City of Kitchener has extended its snow event until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, December 11. Street parking is prohibited during a snow event and parking exemptions are cancelled.

The City of Kitchener has declared a snow event. Residents have until 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to remove their parked cars from city streets.

Kitchener, Ontario - A snow event was declared on Thursday, November 27 based on credible weather forecast information. This snow event has now been extended until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1. This helps ensure our plows and snow clearing equipment are able to effectively and efficiently clear snow from roadways across the city.

The most recent forecast predicts an additional 10-12 cm of snow falling in Kitchener between midnight on Saturday, November 29 and the afternoon of Sunday, November 30. Based on this information, the snow event has now been extended until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 30. This helps ensure our plows and snow clearing equipment are able to effectively and efficiently clear snow from roadways across the city.
