Winter program registration opens December 13
Get ready to get active Kitchener! Winter program registration opens Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. With recreation, sports and aquatics programs offered for all ages, you can now register the whole family for something active this winter.
This coordinated registration day allows you to sign up for any activity from swimming lessons to children’s activities to seniors programming all at once. Register online, in person (at a community centre, pool, or city hall), or by calling your neighbourhood community centre or pool. If you’re registering online, you can set up your ActiveNet account prior to registration day.
Kitchener’s guide to recreation and leisure activities, Active Kitchener, is now available and being delivered to homes across the city. This guide includes winter program activities offered by the city and neighbourhood associations that will begin in January 2023. Review the program options and have the activity code(s) ready for registration day. If you need help searching for programs online, check out this helpful video.
Leisure Access offers financial support for residents of Kitchener with low income. The subsidy program is specific to city run recreation and leisure programs (swimming pools, neighbourhood camps). Applications can be picked up at any community centre or online at www.kitchener.ca/feeassistance.
For individuals with disabilities that may require extra support, the Inclusion Support and Personal Assistance for Leisure (PAL) Activities program makes joining our programs possible and more enjoyable. For more information, or to apply in advance of a program, visit www.kitchener.ca/inclusion
