Until December 21, you can cast your vote online at EngageWR.ca/Zamboni. Starting the week of December 8, you can also submit a paper ballot in one of the ballot boxes at Kitchener City Hall or one of our 15 community centres. You’ll be asked to rank each of the seven names from most to least favourite. The name that is ranked the highest by our community will be used to name our electric Zamboni. The winning name will be announced later this winter.
The electric ice resurfacer is one of the first in the City’s fleet and will be used this winter on the ice rink at Carl Zehr Square. It was selected through a public procurement process. Produced by Zamboni Company, the electric ice resurfacing machine is manufactured locally in Brantford.
