Thanksgiving weekend: what’s open and closed

Kitchener City Hall will be closed for Thanksgiving on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, however, services offered by staff will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 8:30 a.m.

ARENAS

Arenas will be open during regular hours this weekend and on Monday, Oct. 10 for scheduled rentals as follows:

Activa Sportsplex 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Sportsworld 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Lions Arena 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Grand River Arena 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Don McLaren Arena 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Queensmount Arena 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.

BUDD PARK

Budd Park will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10.

COMMUNITY CENTRES

All community centres will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10.

GOLF COURSES

Doon Valley and Rockway Golf Courses will be open during regular hours on Monday, Oct. 10.

KITCHENER MARKET

The Kitchener Market will be open Saturday, Oct. 8 from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will be closed as usual on Sunday, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 10. The Market will be open on Tuesday, Oct. 11 for regular business hours.

KITCHENER PUBLIC LIBRARY

All Kitchener Public Library locations will be open regular hours Saturday, Oct. 8, however, all locations will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 9 and Monday, Oct. 10. For more information, visit kpl.org/hours.

POOLS

Breithaupt Centre Pool, Forest Heights Pool and Cameron Heights Pool will be closed on Sunday, Oct 9. Lyle Hallman Pool will remain open on Sunday, Oct 9. However, all pools will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10.
