Stay active this spring! City of Kitchener program registration opens March 11 at 8:30 a.m.

Registration for City of Kitchener spring programs, including swimming lessons, city-run and neighbourhood association programs opens on Tuesday, March 11 at 8:30 a.m. With recreation, sports and aquatics programs for all ages and abilities, there really is something for everyone!

NEW PROGRAMS this spring include:

  • Restorative Yoga

  • Introduction to Brush Lettering or Calligraphy

  • Creative Art Workshop or Crafts with Recycling

  • Memory Boosters Social Club

  • Introduction to Drawing (children)

  • Nature Art (youth)

Our Active Kitchener Guide is now available  

Active Kitchener, is your complete guide to all spring activities, sports and recreation programs offered by the City and neighbourhood associations and is now available online at www.kitchener.ca/ActiveKitchener (downloadable pdf). Print copies can be picked up at community centres, pools, or Kitchener City Hall.

March 11 is program registration day!

Register early as programs can fill up quickly. Register online, in person (at a community centre, pool, or city hall service centre), or by calling your neighbourhood community centre or pool. If you’re registering online, you can set up your ActiveNet account before registration day. Add your favourite programs to your Wish List, and then simply add to your cart quickly and easily on registration day. Know your child’s most recent swimming level before you register for swimming lessons.

SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION

Summer camp registration opens on March 18 at 8:30 a.m. for Kitchener residents and March 25 for non-Kitchener residents. This 7-day advance registration period for Kitchener residents is new this year.

Need financial support?

If program fees are preventing you, or a member of your family, from joining a city or neighbourhood association program, you could qualify for a yearly subsidy of $400 per person in Leisure Access Fee assistance. Apply before registration at www.kitchener.ca/FeeAssistance.. 

Need support for a person with a disability?

For individuals with disabilities that may require extra support, the Inclusion Support and Personal Assistance for Leisure (PAL) Activities program makes joining our programs possible and more enjoyable. For more information, or to apply in advance of a program, visit www.kitchener.ca/inclusion
