Ways to remember

Saturday, November 8 marks Indigenous Veterans Day, honouring First Nations, Inuit and Métis veterans.

The Royal Canadian Legion Fred Gies Branch 50 will hold its annual Remembrance Day March and Service on Tuesday, November 11, with a parade starting from Ontario Street and proceeding along King Street and Frederick Street to the cenotaph on Duke Street. The service officially starts at 10:45 a.m.

There will be a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Veteran’s Green Interpretive Area, located at the corner of Spadina Road East and Glen Road in the St. Mary’s Heritage Conservation District. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m.

On Sunday, November 16, at 2:30 p.m., the annual German Remembrance Day ceremony will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
We also want to recognize Sikh Remembrance Day, held on November 2, 2025 with a service at Mount Hope Cemetery, at the Military Grave of Pte. Buckam Singh.
