One week left to file a nomination in Kitchener for the upcoming Municipal Election
Interested in running for office in Kitchener? It’s not too late to file your nomination paperwork. The deadline for candidates interested in running in the 2022 municipal election to file their nomination is Friday, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.
The City of Kitchener is making it easy for candidates interested in running in the 2022 municipal and school board election to file their nomination documents by offering appointments where staff will review nomination paperwork and share details on the election process.
Appointments can be booked online at www.kitchener.ca/runforoffice and will be offered in person at the City’s new nomination filing centre on the main floor at Kitchener City Hall. One-hour appointments are available Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The last day to book an appointment is Thursday, Aug. 18. Nominations will be accepted by walk-in only on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022.
