The City of Kitchener is looking for feedback as it develops a new Transportation and Mobility Plan, Connected Kitchener
Kitchener – The City of Kitchener is developing a new Transportation and Mobility Plan, Connected Kitchener. The plan will help our city move towards a transportation system that is more reliable, fair, environmentally friendly and efficient over the next 25 years. The plan will consider the needs of everyone whether they walk, bike, take transit, drive, use small vehicles like scooters or move goods by truck.
While the Transportation and Mobility Plan focuses on areas the City of Kitchener is responsible for, it will also work closely with the Region of Waterloo to make sure both governments are working toward the same goals.
Connected Kitchener will support many of the City of Kitchener’s goals, such as cutting greenhouse gas emissions, making it easier and safer to walk and bike, improving transit and creating better public spaces. The plan also supports and aligns with Kitchener 2051 by planning a mobility system that enables the land use goals of the Official Plan for the next 25 years.
We want to know what you think through a short survey. It will ask about your travel habits, transportation challenges, and priorities. It will also gather your feedback on the draft vision and goals that will help shape the future of mobility in Kitchener.
It will take 12 to 18 minutes to fill out, depending on how many questions you answer. The survey closes November 22, 2025. Visit the project’s Engage Kitchener page to learn more and provide your feedback.
