Local musicians invited to perform at Neighbours Day 2026

Each year, the City of Kitchener brings our community members together for Neighbours Day, a celebration of live music, summer fun, and social connection.

This year’s Neighbours Day will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 12 to 5 p.m., on lawns and open spaces in neighbourhoods across our city.

Musician applications open January 12, 2026

From porches to driveways, front lawns to street parties, up to 50 local musicians will share their unique talents through outdoor pop-up concerts hosted by residents in their neighbourhoods.

To showcase Kitchener’s rich diversity, we’re looking for musicians from a wide array of genres and styles, including pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, Celtic, reggae, Latin, bhangra, Afrobeat, samba, and more

Performers will be scheduled for two one-hour sets at different neighbourhood locations. Performances will be scheduled at 12, 1, 3 and 4 p.m.

Musicians must supply their own equipment and transportation. Successful applicants will receive an honorarium for their time and travel.

Musician applications will remain open until full. To learn more about playing Neighbours Day, or hosting a concert, visit Kitchener.ca/NeighboursDay
