Last chance to nominate a development project for Kitchener's Great Places Awards

Kitchener, Ontario – It’s your last chance to submit a nomination for the Kitchener Great Places Awards Applications close at midnight on Wednesday, April 30. The awards celebrate outstanding development projects that showcase design excellence and innovation in urban design, sustainability and heritage. This year the awards have added a new category, the Affordable Housing Solutions Award.

This year's award nomination categories include:

  • Affordable Housing Solutions Award 

  • Future Design Leaders

  • Master Planning

  • Mike & Pat Wagner Heritage Awards

  • Neighbourhood Design

  • Placemaking

  • Sustainable Kitchener

  • Urban Design Excellence

Anyone can nominate a project. The awards also feature categories for student and master planning projects. Nominations are still open and can be submitted on the Great Places Awards web page.

Are you a professional in a related field like planning, urban design, sustainability, heritage conservation, affordable housing, social services or architecture? Apply to be part of the jury panel. Applications can be submitted through the Great Places Awards web page.
