Labour Day weekend: what’s open and closed

Kitchener City Hall building will be open from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5, however, services offered by staff will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Kitchener Market

The Kitchener Market will be open Saturday, Sept. 3 from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will be closed as usual on Sunday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 5. The Market will reopen again on Tuesday, Sept. 6 for regular business hours.

Kitchener Public Library

All Kitchener Public Library locations will be closed on Sunday, September 4 and Monday, September 5. For more information, visit https://kpl.org/hours.

Pools and splashpads

Forest Heights Pool, Breithaupt Pool and Lyle Hallman pools will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

Harry Class Pool will be open 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. for regular single-visit programming on Monday, Sept. 5, before closing for the season on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Kiwanis Park Pool will be open regular hours, from 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. on Labour Day. While the pool will be closed for regular swims after Labour Day, the annual dog swim is scheduled to place on Sunday, Sept. 11.

On Friday, Sept. 2 Idlewood Pool will close for the season, as will Wilson Pool, which closes on Sunday, Sept. 4.

City splashpads will be open throughout the weekend including on Labour Day. For more information, visit www.kitchener.ca/splashpads.

Community centres

All community centres will be closed Monday, Sept. 5.

Arenas

Activa Arena will be open at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5 for scheduled rentals.

Budd Park

Budd Park will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.
