Kitchener launches pulse check survey on strategic investments for budget 2025

As the end of 2024 approaches, many of the strategic investments made by the City of Kitchener as part of the 2024 budget have been completed. This is an opportunity for a quick pulse check on how well the City of Kitchener is advancing our shared community priorities through those investments. The City is launching an online survey that outlines the high-level strategic investments made in 2024 and asks whether we’ve got the right balance.

This feedback will help us continue the dialogue with the community that began with the development of our strategic goals as part of the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan.

In 2023 the City launched its 2023-2026 Strategic Plan with unprecedented consultation, exploration and working alongside members of the community, which will serve as the foundation for the city’s strategies, actions and initiatives and ensures the alignment of projects and work conducted across the corporation’s many departments and divisions.

This plan will help guide many of the strategic investments to be included in future budgets, including additional investments being made under the five goal areas within the strategic plan:

• Building a connected city together
• Cultivating a green city together
• Creating an economically-thriving city together
• Fostering a caring city together
• Stewarding a better city together
