Kitchener in Bloom program launches this Saturday

Springtime is upon us, and neighbourhoods across Kitchener are in bloom. The Kitchener in Bloom program celebrates residents' efforts to make our city a more beautiful, sustainable and greener place to live. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, join us in launching this year’s Kitchener in Bloom program together.

Join us this Saturday, May 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. for the launch of the 2025 Kitchener in Bloom program at the SPROUT Community Garden, next to the Stanley Park Community Centre, at 505 Franklin St. North.

Learn about Kitchener in Bloom and how to recognize all types of gardens in our neighbourhoods as we celebrate the vibrant spirit of our community and the beauty of local gardens:

  • take a tour of the SPROUT Community Garden for ideas and inspiration

  • grab free perennial seedlings to start your flower garden (while quantities last)

  • participate in make-and-take garden crafts for kids (while quantities last)

  • stop by the LoveMyHood lemonade stand

  • LoveMyHood prizes and giveaways

The Kitchener in Bloom program fosters community pride and connection while recognizing the beauty of our city. Recognize gardens in your neighbourhood from May 10 through to September 14, 2025.
