Kitchener facility hours for Family Day - 2024

Some City of Kitchener facilities have modified hours on Family Day, Monday, Feb. 19.

Offices at Kitchener City Hall will be closed for the holiday. Services normally offered by staff will be available again on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 9 a.m.

There’s lots to do in Kitchener on Monday, Feb. 19, from free skating to family-friendly events at the Kitchener Market and some community centres.

Kitchener Market

The Kitchener Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19, for a Family Day event. Learn more on the Kitchener Market website: kitchenermarket.ca/FamilyDay.

Kitchener Public Library

All Kitchener Public Library locations will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19.

Pools

These pools will be offering free swims on Family Day:

• Breithaupt Centre Pool: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Forest Heights Pool: 1 to 5 p.m.
• Lyle Hallman Pool: 3:30 to 8 p.m.

Cameron Heights Pool will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19.

Community centres

These community centres will be open on Monday, Feb. 19:

• Bridgeport: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Family Day event, tickets available on ActiveNet
• Centreville-Chicopee: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Chandler Mowat: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Country Hills: noon to 6 p.m.
• Doon Pioneer Park: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for gym bookings
• Downtown: 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for gym and community room bookings
• Forest Heights: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Huron: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Kingsdale: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a free community event from 1 to 3 p.m. (no registration required)
• Mill Courtland: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Stanley Park: 9 a.m. to noon
• Victoria Hills: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Aud and community arenas

The Aud and community arenas will be open on Monday, Feb. 19, for scheduled rentals and the following free skates:

• Activa Sportsplex - Tom Graham Arena: 8 to 9:50 a.m.
• The Aud - Kiwanis Arena: 8:30 to 11:20 a.m.
• Sportsworld Arena - Spectator Arena: 9 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.
• Lions Arena: 2 to 4:50 p.m.
• Activa Sportsplex - Patrick J Doherty Arena: 3:30 to 4:50 p.m.
• The Aud - Dom Cardillo: 8:30 to 10:20 p.m.

Budd Park indoor sports facility

The office at Budd Park will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19. Budd Park indoor field will be open for scheduled rentals.
