Join the Mayor’s Advisory Council for Kitchener Seniors (MACKS)
The City of Kitchener is recruiting new members, ages 55 and older, to the Mayor’s Advisory Council for Kitchener Seniors (MACKS). MACKS volunteers are encouraged to share their older adult perspectives on the impact of city programs, services, strategies, and policies to help older adults live well and age well in the community.
As a member of MACKS, you will advise staff and Council on municipal issues impacting older adults in Kitchener, provide input and feedback, help identify community priorities, and help make connections for engagement and feedback around age-friendly initiatives in Kitchener.
To apply to be part of the advisory council, you must:
be a Kitchener resident
be 55 years of age or older
be available to attend meetings held on the first Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (from September 2025 to June 2026)
contribute 6 to 8 hours per month to support sub-committee work
commit to serving a three-year term
