Free holiday fun for children, youth, and families

Looking for something fun to do with the family over the holidays? The City of Kitchener is offering free events and activities to keep children, youth, and families active and engaged this winter break.

WINTER ARTISAN MARKET (All ages)

Saturday, Dec. 21 from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Celebrate the season with a festive day out at the Kitchener Market! Enjoy free face painting, candy floss, carolers, appearances by some of your favourite characters, photos with Santa and more! FAMILY HOLIDAY NIGHT (All ages)

Saturday, Dec. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Centreville-Chicopee Community Centre

This is a magical evening for the entire family to enjoy festive games, crafts, and holiday treats. Free event. No registration required.

INDOOR SKATEPARK (Ages 8+)

Saturday, Dec. 28 from 6:30–11:30 p.m. at Queensmount Arena

Join us for our year-end celebration! Helmets are mandatory. Free event. No registration required.

HOLIDAY ART & TRIVIA (Ages 12-17)

Monday, Dec. 30, Thursday, Jan. 2, Friday, Jan. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Bridgeport Community Centre

Join us for three evenings of art focused on imagination and creativity followed by fun trivia. Free event. Registration is required.

NEW YEAR’S EVE (All ages)

Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 7 pm. to midnight at Carl Zehr Square, City Hall

Join us for Night of Legends, our free New Year's Eve celebration, featuring tributes to Taylor Swift, Pink, Madonna, Mick Jagger, and Blondie, leading up to an early family countdown at 10 p.m. Then get ready to officially ring in 2025 with one of Canada's top Abba tribute bands taking us into the new year! www.Kitchener.ca/NYE

FREE COMMUNITY SKATES (All ages)
