Discover, explore and learn at the Kitchener Fire open house
Kitchener Fire will open its doors to the community on Saturday, September 19 for its annual open house. From 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., residents can visit Kitchener Fire Headquarters at 270 Strasburg Road to learn about fire safety and the work of Kitchener Fire.
During the event, visitors can explore fire trucks and equipment, watch fire demonstrations, take part in interactive firefighting activities, meet mascot Sparky and his new friend Sniffy, jump in bouncy castles, have their faces painted, test their skills in the obstacle course and more. Don’t forget to fill out the event bingo card for a chance to win some free prizes.
The Lions Club of Kitchener will be hosting a BBQ and food trucks will be on-site with summer treats.
Admission is free but attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations in support of Food4Kids Waterloo Region.
