City partners with Kind Minds Family Wellness to deliver Grant Writing for Racialized Communities Workshop

The City of Kitchener is partnering with Kind Minds Family Wellness and the Kitchener Public Library to host a free grant-writing workshop for racialized groups and organizations, and groups and organizations serving racialized communities. The two-part workshop begins March 28.

Presenters will teach the essentials for writing a successful municipal, provincial, and federal grant application. Participants will build their understanding of crucial information to share in a grant proposal and learn strategies for writing a persuasive case for support and telling the story of their work and its impact. Workshop participants will receive guidance and support related to their specific grant application challenges.

The workshop will also cover specifics related to the City of Kitchener’s Racialized, and Indigenous Supports for Equity (RISE) Fund, which will begin accepting applications on April 3.

This free, two-part workshop begins on March 28 and will continue on April 4. Both sessions run from 6 - 8 p.m. at Kitchener Public Library’s central library, 85 Queen St. N., and online for those who can’t attend in person.

Registration is required. Class size is limited. Register online. If you have questions about this workshop, please email Rea Parchment, senior anti-racism advisor at the City of Kitchener.
