City of Kitchener names final snow plows with the community’s help

After receiving over 1,500 votes from the community, the City of Kitchener’s final seven snow plows have been given new monikers. In January, the City asked residents to choose their favourites from a list of top community-submitted names and, based on that feedback, the winners are: 

These plows will join Kitchener’s fleet named in 2023 and 2024 – including Scoopy Doo, Plowasaurus Rex, Baby Snowda, Mr. Plow and more – which are familiar fixtures throughout the city as they’ve helped keep roads clear and safe for travel.  

During Public Works Week in May, fun designs will be revealed on each newly named plow. Keep an eye out for them on the streets in the coming winter season.
