It’s time to start thinking about summer! The City of Kitchener is looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and dedicated staff to be part of our team this summer! We are now accepting applications for summer 2024. Check out what makes #TeamKitchener so great!

Each year, the City of Kitchener hires hundreds of staff to help deliver neighbourhood summer camps, youth drop-in programs, and swimming programs across the city, including:

• Neighbourhood camp coordinators
• Neighbourhood camp assistant coordinators
• Neighbourhood camp leaders
• Youth drop-in coordinators
• Youth drop-in team leaders
• Youth drop-in leaders
• Inclusion support coordinators
• Inclusion support workers
• Aquatic camp coordinators
• Aquatic camp assistant coordinators
• Lifeguards
• Swim instructors

As a part of our camp team, staff lead activities for children ages 4-13. Youth drop-in staff deliver recreational programs at community centres such as sports, art and crafts, and games for youth ages 12 –17. Inclusion support staff provide one-on-one support to children with disabilities to help them take part fully in summer camp activities. These summer employment opportunities offer a great learning experience and help to build leadership, collaboration, and program planning skills while providing a fantastic summer experience.
