City of Kitchener celebrates 3rd annual Every Kid Counts Day

Get ready, Kitchener—it’s time to celebrate, connect, and make a difference for children and youth in our community! Join us for the third annual Every Kid Counts Day on Saturday, May 2, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand River Recreation Complex (600 Heritage Drive). Bring the whole family for an afternoon packed with indoor and outdoor fun, while supporting a good cause.

Sing, dance and groove along with Kricket, enjoy exciting outdoor games, creative face painting and colourful crafts, and make a splash at our popular Toonie Swims at Lyle Hallman and Forest Heights pools. For full swim times and to reserve your spot, visit ActiveNet—registration is required for public swim sessions.

Every Toonie and donation will go a long way. Proceeds from Every Kid Counts Day directly support the Every Kid Counts program, helping children and youth with disabilities take part in inclusive summer camp experiences in Kitchener.

Land acknowledgement

The City of Kitchener is situated on the traditional territory of the Chonnonton, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples. We recognize our responsibility to act as stewards for the land and honour the original caretakers who came before us. Our community is enriched by the enduring knowledge and deep-rooted traditions of the diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples who live in Kitchener today.
