Artists invited to apply to be featured in Kitchener’s 2027 Rotunda Gallery exhibition program

The City of Kitchener invites artists to apply to show their work at Kitchener City Hall’s Rotunda Gallery. Located in the heart of downtown Kitchener, this gallery features bi-monthly exhibits of original work from up to six artists each year.

The goal of the gallery is to build and promote the development of visual arts in our area. Applicants must be Ontario artists with an active practice; however, artists from Region of Waterloo or with a connection to the region will be given preference.

Applications are welcomed from artists with diverse practices; however, the space can only accommodate two-dimensional work and sculptures that can be wall-mounted using the existing hanging system.

Interested artists can apply using the City’s online submission form until Thursday, August 27 by 5 p.m. Proposals will be juried by the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee  a volunteer, resident-based group that includes a range of artists and arts sector professionals. Selected artists will be paid an exhibition fee.

Please visit Kitchener.ca/RotundaGalleryProposals for more information on the gallery space and instructions to apply.
