Youth art exhibit Young@rt opens this Thursday

Young@rt is an annual art exhibit that displays the artwork of some of our community's most talented young artists ages 12-18 in partnership with several community organizations.

Join us for opening night this Thursday, May 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 44 Gaukel St. for an evening featuring art, drama, music, and workshops, including a Maker Space workshop to bring out your inner artist! With 3D pens, a sketching area, comic books, anime and more. Be inspired by the exhibition and create your own work of art. The Young@rt exhibit will be on display until Thursday, May 25.

If you are unable to attend in person, there will also be a virtual showcase on Friday, May 12 starting at 7 p.m. on the ARTSHINE YouTube Channel.

Special thanks to the program sponsors who help the City of Kitchener make Young@rt possible, ARTSHINE/Arts4All, St. Mary's High School, and 44 Gaukel.
