Young Art showcase invites art submissions by youth
Young@Art (pronounced Young at Art) is an annual showcase that celebrates and displays the work of some of our city's most talented young artists. It is where music, visual art and youth come together in one place.
Submissions are now open for youth, ages 10 to 18; that may include drawings, paintings, mixed media, photography (digital or traditional) or drama/performance.
Submissions will be accepted until Friday, May 8, 2026. Artwork can be photographed and emailed to submit@artshine.ca or art pieces can be dropped off at one of the following community centres:
-
Centreville-Chicopee Community Centre (141 Morgan Avenue)
-
Downtown Community Centre (35 Weber Street West)
-
Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre (150 Pioneer Drive)
-
Williamsburg Community Centre (200 Rosenberg Way)
Art opportunities help youth boost their creativity, enhance emotional and social skills, support academic success, promote mental health and foster a sense of community.
Mark your calendar! The 2026 Young@Art showcase will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Kitchener City Hall. If you are interested in volunteering, email at youth@kitchener.ca.
