Vote for the Great Places Awards People’s Choice category
Kitchener’s Great Places Awards for 2025 are coming soon, and now it’s time to have your say. The Great Places Awards honour outstanding development projects in Kitchener that show a commitment to design excellence and innovation in urban design, placemaking, sustainability, affordable housing, heritage conservation and contribute to a built environment that enhances our quality of life.
Voting in our people’s choice category is open. Visit engagewr.ca/great-places to let us know which new great places are your favourite. There are 11 projects that you can vote for that range from mixed-use developments to a neighbourhood-led winter light installation. Check out engagewr.ca/great-places for more information about each project and to vote. If you haven’t visited these projects yet, you may want to use the list of projects to explore Kitchener – then vote! The last day to vote is Friday, Sept. 26.
