The City of Kitchener wants to discuss downtown parking

Kitchener, ON – The City of Kitchener is continuing work on a new Long-Term Parking Strategy and wants your input on parking downtown. We will be hosting a virtual open house from 6 -7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 to ask residents who work, live or visit downtown to discuss the initial recommendations we’ve received, both from the public and our consultant.

The open house will involve a presentation by staff and an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

Topics that will be discussed at the open house are:

  • Public feedback/results on the Long Term Parking Survey so far

  • Review of current downtown parking availability and usage

  • Projection of future parking demand

  • Short-term and long-term recommendations for City facilities

To register for the session, please visit EngageWR.ca/parking
