Stay active this spring! City of Kitchener program registration opens March 10 at 8:30 a.m.

It is just one week until the City of Kitchener’s spring program registration opens! Register for swimming lessons, recreation programs and sports for all ages starting Tuesday, March 10 at 8:30 a.m. for Kitchener residents (and March 17 for non-residents).

 Select your programs

Active Kitchener is a complete guide to all spring activities and programs offered by the city and neighbourhood associations and is now available online at Kitchener.ca/ActiveKitchener (downloadable pdf). Print copies are available for free at community centres, pools, or Kitchener City Hall.

There is an additional guide with spring programs of specific interest for adults 55+. View the Older Adults Program Guide, or visit Kitchener.ca/OlderAdults .

March 10 is program registration day

Register early as programs can fill up quickly. Register online, in person (at a community centre, pool, or city hall service centre), or by calling your local community centre or pool.

If you are registering online, you can set up your ActiveNet account before registration day. Add your favourite programs to your Wish List, and then simply add to your cart quickly and easily on registration day. Know your child’s most recent swimming level before you register for swimming lessons.

Do you need financial support?

If program fees are preventing you from joining a program, you could qualify for a yearly subsidy of $400 per person in Leisure Access Fee assistance. Apply before registration day at www.kitchener.ca/FeeAssistance.

Do you need support for a person with a disability?

If you require additional support, the Inclusion Support and Personal Assistance for Leisure (PAL) program makes joining our programs possible and more enjoyable. For more information, or to apply in advance of a program, visit www.kitchener.ca/inclusion.

A look ahead to summer camp registration
