Officially less than a week away, the City of Kitchener’s fall program registration opens Tuesday, August 18 at 8:30 a.m. for Kitchener residents (August 25 for non-residents).

For older adults, residents aged 55+ can explore programs, activities and social opportunities through the Older Adults Program Guide or by visiting Kitchener.ca/OlderAdults.
Free printed copies are also available at community centres, pools and Kitchener City Hall.
Get ready before registration day
If you're new to Kitchener or registering for the first time, creating your ActiveNet account before August 18 is required to register online for programs.
Before registration opens:
- Create or update your ActiveNet account
- Add family members to your account
- Confirm swim levels before registering for swimming lessons
Tip: Programs saved to your Wish List can be added to your cart quickly once registration opens.
Do you need financial assistance?
If program fees are preventing you from joining a program, you could qualify for a yearly subsidy of $400 per person in Leisure Access Fee assistance. Apply before registration day on our website.
Inclusion and support programs
If you or a family member requires additional support to participate in a recreation program, Inclusion Support and the Personal Assistance for Leisure (PAL) program can help make participation more accessible and enjoyable.
