Showcase your business in downtown Kitchener’s Square Peg retail space
The City of Kitchener is accepting applications from local retailers and small businesses to activate Square Peg in 2026. Square Peg is the City’s dynamic retail pop-up space located in the heart of downtown Kitchener. It gives emerging local retail talent the opportunity to showcase their products and test concepts in a physical retail environment without committing to a permanent brick and mortar space, all while contributing to the vibrancy and connectivity of our city’s downtown core.
Selected retailers will get full use of Square Peg’s 1,282 square foot flex space for a two- to four-week period. Pop-ups run at least five days a week during each retailer’s rental period. Since opening its doors in 2023, Square Peg has been home to a range of small businesses, including clothing and jewellery retailers to stationery, artist collectives, a skate shop and more. The only limit is your imagination!
Retailers interested in applying can email downtown@kitchener.ca to express interest and learn more.
